Space Wrangler is a fast paced physics based space exploration game where players can manipulate the earth’s gravity and accelerate to their hearts content. The player’s goal is to make it to the nearby star by avoiding the moon and the black hole at the center of the solar system. To do so, players need to utilize every tool at their disposal to understand the world around them and save the star from the impending doom. It is a game where the player influences the world around them.

Alpha 1.0 released on or about March 12, 2016. It includes the following:

Landing gear changes
New moon system

You can now inspect the moon (and your landing gear) via the mission screen.

You can also turn the moon on and off.

The new moon system is one of the most important aspects of the game. In the current iteration, the moon will decay at a set speed which will dramatically increase the player’s fuel consumption. The player can lose fuel very quickly through the moon’s decay if they do not make strategic refueling trips. The decay of the moon will be slower if it is not in a populated area. In addition, the moon will affect the effective gravity the planet will exert on the player.
Unfortunately the moon is very hard to spawn on your own in the current iteration. I’m going to have to work on a solution.
Update #2:
Alpha 1.2 released on or about April 6, 2016. It includes the following:

Improvements to the land/leaving the planet mechanics
Improvements to the moon
Fix the fuel consumption bug

I’m releasing an alpha update over a week later than planned but will be available soon. I realize that releasing alpha updates are a pretty great time waster when one is not finished coding them. So I am going to post here that I will post a complete test bundle when I’m done coding the game. I know that I can’t post when I’m done coding. It’s just a preventive measure to prevent the test bundle from going into submission under my name.

Changes to the auto landing gear code

The code has been tweaked so that the landing gear is now always auto landing. Which makes jumping easier and is a nice change.

“Frankly, who am I?” – Inspector Fox in The Fox and the Hound
Frankly, I was really looking for a high quality app which offers a lot of options. The original idea was to make a comic book content and book editor app. But, I quickly noticed that I also wanted to make an app which allows to understand what’s really going on with the users, so I decided to make a comic book story editor. This is a comic book app which is going to be released this September. But, before that, I have to focus on my other project which is Comix in Space, an experimental project.

The download for the comic app was requested on the Android market place first. The app was available for several weeks and in a second step, it was uploaded to the iOS market place. So, I didn’t really have any time to prepare the App’s story on the iOS App’s store. I prepared everything on the Android App market place and downloaded all the necessary files and app details. And everything was working fine. I had found a “comicApp2Go” studio with me which was providing the final iOS version. The iOS version is going to be done in a few days and the final version will be uploaded to the iTunes store in a few days, but as it is not available in the market place at the moment.

I have a fair amount of experience with working with comic book apps. I was the developer of Make Comics and the story editor of Fair. I wrote all the features and user interfaces.
